As a recently appointed professor you are facing the challenges of developing your research and teaching profile, assembling an effective team, and performing various roles inside and outside of the university. This workshop is designed to support you by providing tools and research evidence on the basics of strategy implementation and leadership.
- You learn about the central principles of leadership, strategy implementation, and communication.
- You get an overview of the typical steps in the process of employee selection.
- You are given the opportunity to discuss strategies for successful research management.
- You share experiences with other “newly appointed professors”.
You are given the opportunity to exchange your experiences and discuss next steps with your colleagues as well as learn from their examples. Furthermore, short input on theories and tools of effective leadership in academia will be provided.
This course is designed for newly appointed professors of all levels of experience. It is also part of the TUM Tenure Track Academy for our newly appointed Tenure Track professors. Please register using the online registration form.
